After four weeks of
training in the mornings and afternoons, 28 dedicated members of the
cross-country running team headed to the West Area cross-country meet on
Wednesday October 5th.
When they arrived at the park, they jumped off the
bus with nervous anticipation and butterflies in their stomachs. However,
they ended the day with smiles on their faces and pride in their hearts.
Each runner, grades ranging from 4 to 8, ran with perseverance and vigor.
The determination and effort they put into the practices was evident as
they crossed the finish line, each with a personal best. On top of that, they
went over and beyond cheering for their teammates encouraging them not to give
up when the race got tough. All in all, it was a wonderful & eventful
day for our school. The coaches could not be more proud of each member and
how they represented Fossil Hill!
